Service Description
This 30-minute Standing Pilates session is designed to wake the body up, improve balance, and build postural and core strength without needing to get down on the mat. It fits well into real life. Ideal if you have been for a walk or run, feel a little stiff in the mornings, or simply want a structured way to move before the day takes over. The focus is on moving well. Improving how your body supports itself in standing. This is where posture, balance, and everyday strength really matter. If balance is a concern, having a chair or wall nearby for support is encouraged. Why Standing Pilates? Postural strength Supports better alignment and spinal stability in everyday standing and walking. Balance and coordination Improves awareness and control, which is especially important as we age. Functional movement Exercises relate directly to daily activities such as reaching, lifting, and walking. Core and pelvic support Gently activates deep abdominal, back, and pelvic floor muscles. Joint mobility Encourages healthy movement through the hips, knees, ankles, and spine. Accessible and adaptable Options are given so the session can suit different abilities and energy levels. Café Rachel Online Workouts – Access and Viewing Policy Welcome to Café Rachel Online Workouts Thank you for booking onto Café Rachel. These online workouts are designed to be safe, supportive, and flexible, allowing you to take part live or on catch-up in a way that suits your body, your space, and your energy levels. Sessions are coached clearly, with options offered throughout, but it is important that you work within your own limits, take rest when needed, and ensure you have a safe, clear area to exercise in. Online training works best when you feel confident to adapt, pause, or stop at any point, and this approach is actively encouraged. Live classes are delivered via our private Facebook group, which you will need to join in order to attend sessions as they happen. The group is also used for updates, timetable information, and general communication related to the programme. All sessions are recorded and made available via an exclusive, unlisted YouTube channel. This allows you to catch up on any class at a time that suits you, using your phone, tablet, or computer. These recordings are not public and are only accessible to Café Rachel members.
