Service Description
Café Conversations – Weekly Talks | Café Rachel 26 Café Conversations are short, practical weekly talks designed to help you understand why you are doing what you are doing in your exercise and lifestyle. These sessions are grounded in experience, not extremes, and focus on what genuinely supports long-term health. Week 1: Exercise, lifestyle, and cholesterol This is something many of us feel we should understand better. In this talk, I share what years of coaching have taught me about how everyday movement, sensible training, and realistic lifestyle choices influence cholesterol. We focus on what actually makes a difference, and the common things that get in the way. Week 2: Core and pelvic floor support for back confidence Core strength is often misunderstood. This session looks at how the core and pelvic floor really work, why bracing and tension can be unhelpful, and what supports back stability in real life. Particularly relevant if you feel cautious or uncertain about movement. Week 3: Strength training and bone health Many people avoid weights, assuming they are not for them. This talk explains why bones need load, what strength training really means, and how simple, well-chosen exercises can support long-term bone health and confidence. Week 4: Energy, recovery, and staying active If exercise leaves you feeling more tired than energised, this session is for you. We look at recovery, stress, sleep, and training load, and the quiet drains on energy that are often overlooked. Week 5: Pilates and whole-body wellbeing Pilates is often seen as just core work. Here, I explain how it supports posture, breathing, joint control, and movement awareness, and how it fits alongside other forms of exercise rather than replacing them. Week 6: Habit building that fits real life This final session focuses on making healthy routines feel normal and sustainable. We explore why habits fail, and how to build routines that adapt to changing energy levels and real-life demands.
