Weekly Themes & Podcasts 2nd–19th June 2026 Podcast Times • Tuesday: 7:30pm–8:15pm • Thursday: 7:30pm–8:00pm Week 1 (2nd–5th June) Shinrin-Yoku: Nature, Exercise and Wellbeing Tuesday 2nd June Shinrin-Yoku, or forest bathing, is the practice of spending time in nature while slowing down and engaging the senses. This session explores how outdoor environments can support physical and psychological health. We will discuss green space, stress reduction, mood, sleep and the role of natural light in supporting energy and daily rhythms. Thursday 4th June Exercising in Warmer Weather As temperatures rise, exercise can feel different. Learn how to adapt your workouts, stay comfortable and continue exercising safely throughout the summer. Week 2 (9th–12th June) Hydration and Health Tuesday 9th June Explore the physiology of thirst and how hydration needs can change with age. We will discuss fluid balance, hormones, and how hydration influences energy, concentration and exercise performance. Practical tips will help you recognise early signs of dehydration and develop healthier daily habits. Thursday 11th June Simple Hydration Strategies Hydration affects energy, digestion, concentration and physical performance. This session shares practical ways to maintain good hydration during warmer weather and everyday life. Week 3 (16th–19th June) Managing Weight Gain and Body Composition Tuesday 16th June This session explores the changes in body composition that can occur with menopause and ageing, particularly around the abdomen. We will discuss evidence-based approaches using exercise, nutrition, sleep and stress management to support long-term health and wellbeing. Thursday 18th June Planning Ahead for Healthy Eating Learn simple strategies to organise meals, reduce decision fatigue and maintain steady energy levels throughout the week. Practical guidance will include meal planning, batch cooking and creating balanced meals that are realistic and sustainable.

Café Rachel Online Workouts – Access and Viewing Policy Welcome to Café Rachel Online Workouts Thank you for booking onto Café Rachel. These online workouts are designed to be safe, supportive, and flexible, allowing you to take part live or on catch-up in a way that suits your body, your space, and your energy levels. Sessions are coached clearly, with options offered throughout, but it is important that you work within your own limits, take rest when needed, and ensure you have a safe, clear area to exercise in. Online training works best when you feel confident to adapt, pause, or stop at any point, and this approach is actively encouraged. Live classes are delivered via our private Facebook group, which you will need to join in order to attend sessions as they happen. The group is also used for updates, timetable information, and general communication related to the programme. All sessions are recorded and made available via an exclusive, unlisted YouTube channel. This allows you to catch up on any class at a time that suits you, using your phone, tablet, or computer. These recordings are not public and are only accessible to Café Rachel members.
