How the Pathway Works

Part 1 — Foundation (open to all): understanding menopause and interventions to support health & wellbeing.

Part 2 — Apply to Fitness (for qualified fitness professionals): adapt exercise for people experiencing menopause.

Part 3 — Practitioner Status (industry-recognised instructor): complete the full pathway to be recognised as a Menopause Practitioner within the YMCA Awards framework.
YMCA offers two Level 3 qualifications that map to this pathway:
Level 3 Award in Understanding Menopause and Interventions to Support Health and Wellbeing (QN 610/4378/3) → Part 1
Level 3 Award in Supporting Participation in Physical Activity: Menopause (QN 610/4379/5) → Part 2, and with the optional delivery unit achieved → Part 3 Practitioner

Entry Requirements
Learners must already hold a qualification endorsed against one of the following CIMSPA Occupational Entry Standards:

Recognition & Progression
