Service Description
This is a relaxed, upbeat morning designed to get you moving, learning and laughing. A chance to try some enjoyable exercise, understand a bit more about what is happening in your body, and pick up some practical ideas that can help you feel stronger and more energised. Think of it as a morning for you. Step away from the usual routine, catch up with people you already know from class, and meet others who are often dealing with the same life changes. You can dip in and out of sessions or stay for the whole morning. Please bring a deckchair or something comfortable to sit on for the coffee and chat. Sunday 21st June 2026 09:00 – 12:00 £7 – attend any part or the full morning 09:00 – 09:20 | Dumbbell Workout A 20-minute dumbbell session to build full-body strength and endurance through key movements, with adaptable intensity to improve tone, function, and coordination. 09:30 – 09:50 | Step Workout A dynamic step workout combining aerobic and strength training on an adjustable platform to improve cardiovascular fitness, lower body strength, coordination, and overall wellbeing, with options for all levels. 10:00 – 10:45 | Refreshments & Talk (please bring your camping chair!) A relaxed, research-informed session where we look at what is actually happening in the body during menopause, and what you can do about it in a practical way. We will cover how changes in hormones affect muscle, bone, metabolism and energy levels, and why this can influence how you feel day to day. From there, we will focus on simple strategies that make a difference. This includes guidance on protein intake for muscle maintenance, collagen for joint and tissue support, and where supplements may be helpful (and where they are often unnecessary). We will also touch on fuelling for exercise, recovery, and maintaining stable energy levels across the day. There will be time to sit, chat, ask questions, and share experiences if you wish. The aim is to leave you with a clearer understanding of what you can do to help your body during menopause. 11:00 – 11:45 | Disco-Diva Step back into the glitter ball era with Disco Diva, where classic tracks meet a modern twist through feel-good movement and simple, easy-to-follow choreography. Dance. Sing. Enjoy the fitness with fun. Places are limited, so please book ahead (mainly so I know how many cakes to bring).
