Purpose The WhatsApp chat is provided for learners enrolled on the Level 3 course. It supports course communication, clarification of content, and general academic guidance. It does not replace formal learning materials, assessment feedback, or the main learning platform. Access Access is limited to enrolled learners only. Chats may be group-based or individual, depending on need. Access may be withdrawn if this policy is not followed. Professional Conduct All communication must be professional and respectful. Learners are expected to: Communicate courteously with tutors and peers Respect differing views and experiences Avoid offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language Not share personal or sensitive information The chat is an extension of the learning environment. Appropriate Use The chat may be used for: Course-related questions Clarification of learning outcomes or assessments Queries about deadlines, structure, or resources The chat must not be used for: Medical, clinical, or personal health advice Emergencies Complaints or disputes (use formal procedures) Advertising or promotion of unrelated services Boundaries and Availability Tutors respond within reasonable working hours. Immediate responses are not guaranteed. Messages sent outside agreed times will be addressed later. Confidentiality and Data Protection Content shared in the chat is confidential. Messages or screenshots must not be shared outside the chat without permission. Learners should be aware that WhatsApp is a third-party platform. Moderation Tutors may moderate discussions to maintain a safe learning environment. Inappropriate use may lead to removal from the chat or further action under the course code of conduct.
