The Active Menopause is a series of evidence-based online talks designed to help you understand how exercise, nutrition and lifestyle can support your health during peri-menopause, menopause and beyond. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, these sessions explore the science behind healthy ageing and the practical strategies that can help you maintain strength, mobility, bone health, cardiovascular health, brain function and overall wellbeing throughout midlife and beyond. Drawing on over 40 years of teaching experience and the latest exercise science research, Rachel Hubbard explains the evidence in a practical and easy-to-understand way, helping you make informed decisions about your own health. Week 1 – Understanding the Menopause Journey • The Female Hormonal Journey • Map Your Menopause Week 2 – Weight Gain and Heart Health • Why Does Weight Collect Around the Middle? • Cardiovascular Health in Menopause • Making Sustainable Lifestyle Changes Week 3 – Brain Health and Cognitive Function • Brain Fog and Cognitive Health • Lifestyle Strategies for a Sharper Mind • Improving Sleep and Recovery Week 4 – Bones, Joints and Long-Term Health • Osteoporosis, Bone Health and Joint Health • Nutrition and Supplements for Menopause • Building Your Long-Term Health Plan Week 5 – Pelvic Floor and Healthy Ageing • Pelvic Floor Health and Lower Back Pain • Diet, Nutrition and Gut Health in Menopause The talks are delivered live throughout July on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with a Saturday morning catch-up session. If you are unable to attend live, don't worry. Every session is recorded and can be watched at a time that suits you via the members' website or YouTube. This means you can work through the programme at your own pace, revisit sessions whenever you wish, and access the information whenever it fits into your lifestyle. Whether you join every live session or prefer to watch on demand, you'll have access to the complete programme, allowing you to build your knowledge and put the advice into practice in a way that works for you. This programme runs live during July 2026, but can be joined at any time and watched on the web page, App or YouTube and you can download your handbook to support your learning.
