Service Description

Reclaim Your Confidence, Strength and Wellbeing In our weekly Cafe Chat sessions, we explore how science can guide us to protect and preserve our physical and mental vitality, rebuild lost strength, and navigate the changes that come with living our lives. We will discuss practical tools you can use straight away. Week 1 – 3rd June 2025 - Building Exercise Confidence: - Knowing exercise is important is one thing — believing you can do it is another. This session explores how confidence is shaped over time, why it can fade, and how to reclaim it through small, evidence-based steps. Learn how to overcome hesitation and reframe exercise as something you get to do, not something you have to do. We will look at psychological strategies, and how keep long-term motivation. Week 2 – 10th June 2025 - Eat Smarter: Strategies for Effective Belly Fat Reduction Abdominal fat is often linked to more than just diet — stress, hormones and disrupted sleep play a role too. In this session, we will look at the research behind increased abdominal fat - and what seems to work best to address this issue. Week 3 – 17th June 2025 - Health and Wellbeing: What the Latest Research Tells Us Health science evolves fast — but what’s worth paying attention to? This session explores emerging evidence into health and wellbeing. We will look at what is useful, and how we can introduce some easy steps and protocols to help us live a longer, happier life. Week 4 – 24th June 2025 - Brain Health: Why It Matters and How to Protect It Cognitive strength is just as important as physical strength. We know from previous sessions how movement, sleep, connection and resistance training influence memory, clarity, and mood. Going through this again will reminds us of the importance of being persistent in our cognitive health. Week 5 – 1st July 2025 - Understanding Bone Loss: Prevention, Protection and Progression Bones are a living tissue that responds to how we move, eat, and recover. This session examines potential causes of bone loss, and what we can do to strengthen it. Week 6 – 8th July 2025 - Muscle Matters: Rebuilding Your Foundations In this final session, we explore how to preserve and build muscle using smart strength training, optimal nutrition, and progressive overload — without needing to train for hours or feel overwhelmed - because preserving muscle is the key to health. This class is part of the Café Rachel programme. Please buy a Pass to access these sessions.
