Stronger with Rachel
Would you like to feel stronger and more confident using weights, but need someone to explain what to do? That is exactly why I have put this programme together.
You asked for more guidance, more opportunities to practise and some help with the question, “Rachel, what weight should I actually be using?” Over four weeks, we will work through those questions together.

How this works
We begin with 20-minute teaching sessions, giving you time to learn the movements and become familiar with your equipment.
Sessions increase to 30, 45 and then 60 minutes across the four weeks as we build on what you have learnt.
Longer sessions do not mean you have to rush into heavier weights. I will help you understand how to choose a suitable weight, adjust an exercise and recognise when you are ready to progress.
We will meet live on Zoom three times each week. If life gets in the way, the teaching recordings will be there for you to catch up.
You will have support between sessions too
Your £45 booking includes:
• All 12 live Zoom teaching sessions and their recordings.
• A comprehensive handout to download and keep.
• Additional videos explaining exercise technique and how to choose your weights.
• An online programme with content added week by week and steps you can mark as completed.
• An open discussion after each live session, where you can ask questions.
You will receive a separate invitation to the online programme before we begin on 2 November. Everything listed above is included in the course price.
You can return to the handout and technique videos whenever you need a reminder. There is no expectation that you will remember every instruction the first time you hear it.
You can ask me
Sometimes it is a small question that makes all the difference: “Where should I feel this?”, “Is this weight suitable?” or “Could I do that another way?”
After each live teaching session, I will stop the recording and open the discussion. You are welcome to unmute and ask questions or tell me how you found the exercises. If something is personal, you can contact me privately.
During the recorded teaching section, please keep your microphone muted. There will be no music played through Zoom, so you can hear the coaching clearly.

The Programme
What about equipment?
Please do not rush out and buy a collection of weights. I will provide guidance to help you choose what is suitable, and if you already have equipment, we can look at what you have.
The opportunity to buy equipment from me before the sessions begin will be launched soon. I will share the options and prices so you can make an informed choice. Buying from me is entirely optional, and equipment is priced separately from the course.
You will also need a device for joining Zoom, a reliable internet connection and enough clear space to move comfortably.

This November pilot is a chance to develop your confidence with weights and help shape future Stronger with Rachel programmes. It can sit alongside Café Rachel, with a dedicated focus on progressive strength training.
If you are unsure whether it is suitable for you, please get in touch. Let me know privately about any health conditions or injuries before we begin, and keep me informed if anything changes during the course.
You asked for help getting stronger. Let’s take that first step together.

What's needed
Equipment for Stronger with Rachel
The main equipment we will use is:
• Dumbbells. Ideally, have a lighter and a heavier pair, or an adjustable set, so you can choose a suitable weight for different exercises.
• A barbell with weight plates and secure collars. An adjustable barbell allows you to change the load as needed.
• A sturdy exercise step with a non-slip surface. If it has adjustable risers, make sure they fit securely.
• An exercise mat for floor work.
You will also need water, supportive footwear and enough clear space to move comfortably and put your weights down safely.
Please do not worry if you are unsure which weights to choose. I will provide advice and technique videos to help you find a suitable starting point. Different exercises may need different weights, so there is no single weight that is right for everything.
If you already have equipment, let me know what you have before buying anything else. The opportunity to buy equipment online before the programme starts will be available soon, with details and prices to follow.
