Service Description

Kettlebell Pilates with Rachel Hubbard Build strength, improve stability and feel more capable in everyday life. Join Rachel Hubbard, Exercise and Menopause Specialist and BSc Sports and Exercise Science graduate, for a practical class combining Pilates-based movement with kettlebell and dumbbell training. Kettlebell Pilates is designed to support strength, posture, balance and long-term physical independence. It is suitable for people who want to learn how to use weights safely, improve their confidence with resistance exercise, or add a little more challenge to their Pilates practice. What is Kettlebell Pilates? This class combines the control, alignment and core awareness of Pilates with functional resistance training. You will learn how to lift, carry, press, hinge and squat with good technique. We use kettlebells, dumbbells and bodyweight exercises to strengthen the muscles that support daily movement, including the legs, hips, back, shoulders and core. The aim is not to work as hard as possible. It is to move well, build strength gradually and understand how exercise supports your body beyond the class itself. Why add weights to Pilates? Resistance training becomes increasingly important as we age. It can help to: * maintain and build muscle strength * support bone health and reduce the risk associated with osteoporosis * improve posture, balance and joint stability * make everyday tasks such as carrying shopping, climbing stairs and getting up from the floor feel easier * support healthy body composition and metabolic health * build confidence in what your body can do Each session includes clear coaching and options to adapt movements to your own starting point.
