Back Care & Beginners Pilates – Build Strong Foundations If you are managing back discomfort, returning to exercise, or simply want to learn Pilates properly from the start, these classes are designed for you. The focus is on building strong foundations, improving movement quality, and supporting long-term back health. About the Classes These Back Care and Beginners Pilates sessions combine evidence-based back care with clear, structured teaching of fundamental Pilates techniques. You will learn how to activate the right muscles, improve posture, and move with more control and confidence. Classes are led by Rachel Hubbard, a Level 4 Back Care Exercise Practitioner and Coach with over 20 years of experience. Sessions are regularly supported by local physiotherapists and GPs. They are suitable if you: Experience lower back pain or stiffness Are new to Pilates and want to learn correctly Are returning after injury or surgery (e.g. hip replacement) Want to improve core strength, posture and mobility Need a safe and progressive approach to exercise Why This Approach Works The emphasis is on technique first. You will not be rushed through exercises. Instead, you will learn how to move well, which is key for reducing pain, improving strength, and supporting everyday function. Sessions are supportive, structured, and adapted where needed. Class Details Booking in advance is essential.
